Hi,
I’m looking for a special person or couple that is experienced in looking after dogs. I own 4 rescued greyhounds and could have up to 4 foster Greys as well. Greyhounds love company but also tend to nap most of the day. Twice a day they get a little more active ( a quick run/ explore or toilet break), eat and then head for bed. You would be required to put slow cooker on each day, feed them dinner and supervise them eating, and give lots of cuddles. Nicky requires a special diet and her meals will be precooked and packaged ready for you to defrost and serve. The dogs are part of the family so live inside for the majority of the time. By April it may be getting cooler overnight so they might need their pyjamas on.
I have a modest 5 bedroom farm home on a few acres in a quiet rural location. It is clean and tidy but not immaculate. The house is set up for the comfort of the hounds so there are lots of beds inside and out and baby gates to control access. The ensuite is in the process of being renovated and should be completed for your stay. Enjoy watching the resident wildlife from the wrap around verandah or curl up on the lounge (complete with greyhound) to watch TV or read a book. Explore the natural beauty of the Manning, go for a dip at Potoroo in the Dingo Tops National park, walk to the bottom of Ellenborough falls ( and back up again) get out on the Manning River or discover the history of Wingham.
Wingham is a 15km drive. It has Coles, service stations, specialty stores and great cafes. Taree ( 28km) is a major town and you should be able to find anything you need there.
If you feel you are up to the challenge I’d love to hear from you.
