Hi! I am a 31 year old female non-smoker animal lover with a degree in Zoology and Marine Biology. I am an Australian/Irish dual-national digital nomad, working as a virtual assistant and online proofreader. I have had several dogs (a King Charles Cavalier, an Alsatian, and a Doberman/Rotti cross). I own a house in Australia, and many years ago when my family and I were on holiday for five weeks our house was broken into and all our valuables stolen. So I have a fine appreciation for the peace of mind that a trustworthy house-sitter can bring, whilst you are away from your home.
As I can work from anywhere, as long as I have a good internet connection, I find house-sitting to be the perfect way to experience a location like a local, without expensive long-term hotel stays. Due to my nomadic lifestyle I can't currently have my own pets, so I fill my need for furry hugs by walking and sitting for others. To justify my travel expenses, longer stays of at least 2.5 weeks or more are best suited to me at this time. However, if you have a shorter stay in my current location, you are welcome to message me and perhaps it will fit before/after another longer sit.
I regularly house-sit for friends when they travel for work, caring for their beautiful animals. I have cared for dogs, cats and birds over the last ten years. During my university time, I even raised several crocodiles! I have yet to meet the animal that I don’t like, and am open to caring for the more unusual pet if needed, as long as suitable instructions are provided.
I will care for your pet and your house while you are away (bins taken out, mail collected, pool filter turned on etc). In my experience, your pet will eat better, experience less stress and be calmer when allowed to stay in their own home rather than a kennel or cattery. As I work from home, I can provide company and cuddles during the day, as well as cater to their requirements for exercise and feeding. I like to provide photos (by , or text message) and keep you updated on your pet’s wellbeing, so you can focus on your holiday or work without worry.
