I’m a New Zealander, currently living in Wellington, New Zealand.
I love to travel and in 2016 I travelled through Mexico staying in Mexico City, Oaxaca and Quintana Roo state. At the end of the holiday I was left with a yearning to return to explore Mexico further.
I run a web-based business offering back office support to internet security businesses in Australia and New Zealand. I am also involved with the organisation of an annual conference and awards dinner.
In anticipation of being in Mexico for a while I have been taking Spanish lessons for the last two years and expect I should have a reasonable level of knowledge when I arrive in Mexico.
I am committed to this adventure with my ticket booked to arrive in Mexico on 1 December.
House/pet sitting will give me the opportunity to travel and stay in different parts of Mexico with the company of your pets. I am interested in longer term sits away from the tourist hot spots where I can get to know the area and live like a local. It will also give me the opportunity to improve my Spanish.
I understand the responsibilities of house sitting as I have experienced it both as someone who has had house sitters stay in my home and I have also been a house sitter.
I have had up to 4 cats in my household in the past 20 years including a Bengal, Abyssinian, Siamese and a couple of tortoiseshells. I enjoyed their idiosyncrasies.
We had dogs in our household when I was growing up and I owned a dog some years ago.
I have also cared for a diabetic cat, cats with special dietary needs and elderly cats.
