I am a healthy, active, independent, responsible, single "Emptynester" seeking to experience different parts of the country and world, while caring for your house, pets and gardens in your absence.
I have lived in Austin, TX for 27 years and have raised three wonderful children. I am a non-smoker, quiet, love to read and write, walk, hike, ski, stand up paddle board and just be outside. I would like to escape the extreme heat of summertime in Austin, and hope to end up with a permanent homebase in northern California or somewhere in the Rocky Mountains.
I have had several dogs in my lifetime. Grew up with a black standard poodle named Teddy. He lived to 13 years of age. My mother took in a Brussels Griffon (what a character and so loveable) when I was in college. I also had a black Cocker Spaniel named Murphy who lived for 12 years. My children took in a stray kitten who is living with their father now and is 7 years old. She stays with me on occasion. I know a little about horses, having taken riding lessons years ago. I loved grooming, just as much as riding.
I have owned 3 homes, and am very handy around the house and love to garden.
