My motto is life is the journey not the destination. I am 60 in calendar years but feel much younger in spirit and health luckily.
I have relinguished my work and home responsibilities, my kids are grown and pets deceased at old ages. Now I can experience new locales while helping others return "home" or visit new places too. I can look after your home and pets with the care you would provide yourself.
I have always had dogs (usually rescues) and cats, and my own resident horses and llamas (no they didn't spit) for many years. Now when I visit people I'm usually the one with their critters near me to satisfy my withdrawals. With my current travel lifestyle pets don't fit in fulltime but I'm happy to take care of yours!
I've lived in Canada and the US, city, small town and country. My permanent address is officially Calgary Canada. I've spent nearly 5 months in Cuba over 10 years. Have also visited Costa Rica (extensive), Panama, Ghana, Kenya and Ireland.
I speak some Spanish and am learning more and hope to teach English as a second or other language when I settle, somewhere.
I love to find commonalities with people of diverse cultures and lifestyles. I am interested in people's stories of their life journey.
