About Gina & Brian
Thank you for considering us and taking the time to read our profile. Brian and I strive to provide the best care for the homes and pets of our clients, adapted and customized to their specified needs and concerns.
Why we want to house sit
We love house/pet sitting because it allows us to travel, meet interesting people, experience new cultures, possibly learn new languages AND love and care for animals as if they were our own. We have allotted ourselves a few years to house sit, travel, explore and learn as much as we can.
In order to minimize any stress your animals may experience from missing you and meeting new people, we feel it is important to maintain your normal schedule as much as possible. We've found it helpful to be able to arrive a day or so prior to our client's departure which gives your pets a chance to get comfortable with us while you are still there. It also allows us to experience your schedule, watch how food is prepared, learn of places or other pets to avoid during walks, find out about any quirks of the home and/or your pets, determine if there are any places your pets are not allowed to go, both inside and outside of the house, and establish emergency procedures.
We are meticulous about maintaining the condition and quality of people's homes. We use Google Calendar (or the application with which you feel most comfortable) to list and organize home maintenance and animal care schedules, which you will be able to add to and edit while you are away. When we had showings to sell our own home we experienced the unease of knowing strangers were in our house, the discomfort of having our privacy disrupted, even though we invited it. We can empathize, if not completely understand how thoroughly unnerving and stressful it must be to have strangers come stay at your home and take care of your beloved animals. If you find our profile compelling, please contact us and get to know us better, and we hope you will no longer think of us as strangers.
