I am a fit, active, non-smoking, and responsible American with a wife and a daughter who are also homeowners experienced in all up and downs, emergencies, and situations that pet and homeownership bring. I know first-hand that having capable and caring sitters makes leaving home and pets a lot easier. We have used sitters ourselves.
As for pets, until recently, we had large dogs in our family for the past twenty years. I had a golden retriever for 14 years, who I loved dearly, and traveled with him extensively. My wife also had a dalmation/lab mix who was much more of a behavioral challenge, but a beloved member of the family nonetheless. I grew up with and love cats as well - my childhood cat lived to the age of 21. We have experience with other animals as well.
In addition to consulting and writing, I am a real estate investor and hands-on repairperson with over 20 years of experience renovating and rehabbing homes and apartments. I have pretty much seen and experienced it all and can keep calm and cool in all situations.
My background is in finance, with a degree from Clemson University, as well as graduate degrees from UCLA Anderson, the Thunderbird School of International Management, and the University of Florida. I previously worked inthe corporate world at IBM and Florida Blue before launching my entrepreneurial careeer.
My wife Debra has extensive experience in management, with a degree from Florida State University and 20 years of experience as a manager at Home Depot and Massey Services, a pest control and lawn care company.
Our daughter Bayley was born in July of 2013, and is a bright and inquisitive child, very well mannered and thriving in school.
We are financially secure travelers,interested in experiencing local global cultures. We like to enjoy local food, museums and shops. We prefer to stay home in the evenings, cook for ourselves and read or watch a movie or work with our daughter on crafts, reading, or schoolwork. I spend a lot of time writing (have published one book and am working on several others), or working on the computer for consulting clients or in other entrepreneurial endeavors.
Because I enjoy animals, exploring new places, helping others, and working from new and inspriing places, housesitting is a perfect match. In short, I am a caretaker that will let you sleep like a baby, knowing your home and pets are cared for, loved and protected.
