Hello,
My name is Masio and my partner Jo and I have been house sitting for people(and for pets!) for just over a year now.
We relocated from Sydney after many years of travelling in various countries and thought it was time to settle down in Wellington where my immediate family reside. Its really great to be back with friends, family and Wellington which has been sublime and relaxing.
By housesitting we have a chance to meet new people, look after pets and beautiful houses, save some money and very importantly also: is to be able to explore some neighborhoods before settling into a specific area in Wellington for the longterm.
My professional background is mainly banking for 15 years plus and the last stint was a little of Financial Planning which I would like to pursue this more once settled but in a private relationship setup, rather than corporate. Jo my partner has been in I.T. for a number of years also and this was mainly as a business analyst but more project based now with the government. We eventually want to own a caravan park so this exploring and looking after animals is contributing towards the longterm goals.
We both absolutely love the outdoors, exploring different cultures, love animals, gardening and working with furniture.Working with furniture was originally as a weekend hobby but now developing skills within a part time Upcycling and restoration furniture business to help create a passive income and enjoy some creative release!
We have thoroughly enjoyed the housesitting experience and would like to carry this on as well as all the abovementioned reasons for it. We are building our skills with animals as we go as we would like to have a small farmstead within a lifestyle block eventually.
We would foresee in the near future that you could potentially house sit our forever place and pets too(or stay in our caravan park) so heres hoping we keep In touch.
We have many references on hand should you need them so please feel free to ask or any other queries we can help you with.
Hope to hear back from you very soon,
Kind regards,
Masio and Jo
