The villa is on the sourthern coast road of Langkawi Island and is about 10 minutes away by scooter to the main tourist area of Cenang Beach. It generally operates as homestay accomodation but, it won't have guests during this period. You can find it listed on as a Luxury Room & Pool with Breakfast. I won't accept anyone contacting me outside of the Housecarers , for the safety of both of us.
Currently it's the dry season and the entire garden requires watering every day. Most areas have been set up with irrigation hoses which just require turning on. There is both a handyman (who comes once per week) and a cleaner who maintains the cleanliness of the property. She is not there to clean up after you, do your dishes or empty your ashtrays. (Yes, smokers are OK but only outside of any rooms.) The cleaner will clean your room and bathroom once per week plus wash the sheets and towels. You won't need to be in attendance when these two maintenance assistants are there doing work. I trust them both implicitely.
The swimming pool is VERY low maintenance. Cleaning is done by putting an underwater robot cleaner into the pool, once per week, and removing it once the cyle has completed. There are no chemicals to put in or testing of the water balance to be done. You will need to be vigilant and check daily for frogs eggs and any thing which doesn't appear 'normal'. I'll be only a whatsapp call away for any questions.
The cat is very affectionate but will put on a performace which indicatesshe's dying if food is late. (Ignore her) She loves feet, especially bare men's feet, She will drop her body weight onto your feet; and fall asleep; if you stop moving for a few minutes. You must like cats and appreciate the odd quirks these creatures have.
There is a little flexibility with the dates given BUT I require time to do a hand-over/take-over period to go through what is required. (Truley, it's not a lot to do but I will expect to to notice if there are any issues. For instance, my last house sitter failed to notice that the pool water wasn't flowing over the wet edges for 4+ days. It was a quick, easy fix...the issue was not noticing the lack of water flow.)
It'll be handy if you're a handyman who can recognise and fix minor problems...not essential though and we can discuss things easily anyway.
