We are young middle aged couple from South West England (Bristol) house sitting full time. We are considered warm, friendly, independent, self sufficient and mature. We are Non Smokers. We are calm, caring, well traveled and love animals! We have current criminal record checks. We are both former professionals. Catherine has had a 20 year career in complementary health services and as a Nutritionist. Rob is a retired Police Officer having served 32 years, mainly as a Detective. As a qualified therapist Catherine has helped clients de- stress, relax and overcome poor health through personalised diet and lifestyle coaching. Rob has investigated some of the most serious and high profile cases in the UK in recent years. Rob is a keen motorcyclist and is involved with a local church motorcycle group.
After retiring from the Police Force in 2016 Rob worked as an Education Welfare Officer in one of the largest academy schools in Bristol. Rob has 2 grown up children who are both following professional careers. Catherine has lived, worked and studied in Jamaica and Canada. Catherine is a qualified Nutritionist, Massage Therapist, Reflexologist and Reiki Practitioner. Recently Catherine studied a Post Graduate in Public Health.
We have gained considerable experience after being members of for one year. We have been accepted for 12 housesits. All with 5* Reviews. We have travelled around the Globe in France, Germany, Boston, Thailand, New Zealand, California, Wales, Cotswolds UK) taking care of cats, dogs, sheep and chickens and making lifelong friends! Most homeowners have asked us to return in Thailand was a private referral sit.
As the Reviews below mention, we are clean and super tidy people. Our preference is for a non smoking home. We will be respectful of your home and belongings, we are very security and safety conscious.
Why we want to house sit
As pet lovers, being has enabled us to travel in a different, rewarding way - and to help others. House Sitting offers us an increased opportunity to spend time taking care of, entertaining, exercising or cuddling (your) pets. We enjoy making new friends - especially when taking our wards for a walk! We love exploring and experiencing new places. When sitting, we are given the opportunity to experience a 'true' prospective of a town by living in the local community. During our sits we often join clubs and attend local events and activities. This year we either made new friends or joined neighbours/homeowners at ;- the local bowling club, Sunday church service, the fitness club, art exhibition events, YMCA, Fireworks on the Rhine, Pride and Christmas festivals.
Our experience
Since being members in early 2018 we have completed 12 sits so far with receiving 5* Reviews. Our first sit was with Lulu a springer spaniel and 12 ducks in a Bed and Breakfast Property in Wiltshire UK. We have since taken care of 2 Burmese Cats in the Cotswolds UK (3 bookings), 3 Cats in Loire, France, 2 cats in Boston USA, 1 cat in Rhine Valley, Germany and 2 cats in Phuket, Thailand (a personal referral). In New Zealand we looked after a German Shepherd in Auckland, followed by 2 Rescue dogs, 10 sheep and 8 chickens at a small homestead in Hunua. In California, we cared for 1 rescue dog in Palm Springs, 1 rescue dog in San Francisco and 2 cats in Sacramento. <
