My name is Jo. I recently finished working in social care (specifically Children's Services) and now I work freelance touring stand-up comedians which I can do from anywhere, anytime.
DBS certificate (police check) available on request and I have lots of house sitting references I can send over.
I am very conscientious and reliable which has allowed me to grow my business. I do not let people down at the last minute and I treat everything I do with care and respect. I generally work from home so they'll be sick of my presence if anything.
I really enjoy spending time with dogs and walking, but my personality might be seen as more cat-like! I enjoy spending time alone.
My life motto is to be upfront so if I think I am not suitable (for example, if you have 50 dogs and 12 horses), I will say. If I make a mistake, I will say. But ultimately I am a really respectful person and will take the security of your home and pets very seriously by following all instructions and not playing silly beggars.
Lots of experience with cats, dogs and (very low maintenance) rabbits of varying ages and personalities including some glorious handfuls.
I tend to play it cool with cats initially in the hope they will love me more. All I seek is their approval.
I do not, however, play it cool with dogs. Unless that's their vibe and then I can control myself with the strokes and running about.
My experience with small pets and fish is limited and from a WHILE ago, but I could do basic care tasks such as feeding and cleaning out cages/tanks.
With regard to your home, I have been a lodger and a tenant multiple times, all successful, and all with full reimbursement of security deposit!
As I say, I am pretty upfront so if something is out of my league, I will tell you you might be best finding someone else. It makes for a more comfortable experience if both parties know what they're getting.
I go to the cinema a lot, swim in the North Sea and love to cook even though the results are often underwhelming.
Any questions welcome!
