Trying this house-sitting/pet-sitting out for the first time officially. Growing up I've done much house-sitting/baby-sitting/pet-sitting through family and friends.
Additionally, I spend a few young years growing up on a farm in with horses, chickens, peacocks, dogs, and cows. In grammer school we took in my aunt's husky and transitioned her into a happy how with our pregnant cat, my brother's turtle, my sister's finches. So I'm comfortable with animals in general.
Dogs have followed me home and I've worked with law enforcement to return them to their owners. I have adopted and then places animals in homes where they can thrive. It's been interesting and educational.
A few years ago I adopted a sick puppy with mange and parasites, who ran sideways/crooked from being in a confined space. We named him, nursed him to health, trained him, and found him a permanent home because when he came into our lives I had a few months of downtime however I was going to return to my busy life and I intended to find him a happy place where he'd continue to get the love and care we gave him. He is still doing well today, I'm happy to say (and runs/walks straight).
I fancy the idea of helping others with their lovely pet-family-members while I exploring new places through a more intimate, authentic traveling experience...And I love animals so it's a bonus while I figure out what the next chapters of life.
Any questions just ask :)
