We're a retired professional English couple in our early sixties. We're both very active and we love animals. We are looking to look after a house/pets for up to two weeks.
We live in East Sussex and are looking to get away from October to March most years
My wife is a former Public Health Professional and Academic while I was an IT consultant and Special Needs teacher
We love travelling and enjoy finding out about different cultures and different food.
I like gardening and would be only too happy to maintain a garden with light gardening work.
I have owned dogs and cats in the past but due to our desire to travel we no longer have either. I do however walk several local dogs for a UK charity called 'The Cinnamon Trust'. I do this on 5 days of the week for dog owners who, for one reason or another, can no longer walk their own dogs
I'm very keen on local nature so belong to the Natural History Society in my home town of Seaford. As a result I have helped in the local snake survey (mainly grass snakes and adders).
I also play a lot of bridge and have since retiring started going to the local gym regularly.
My wife Palo started painting when she retired and is now exhibiting her work at local shows. She is a member of a local book group.
We both go to the local church and I help out by running a Fair Trade Stall once a month.
