Who We Are:
Mary and Lauren are a married, non-smoking couple with three grown children and seven grandchildren. We are a semi-retired couple who love to travel, especially to our National Parks. We are not loud party people, smokers or drinkers.
Mary's career has been as a Radiologic Tecnologist, managing the department for fourteen years of her thirty-five plus years. Lauren has been in Lumber Yard management, trucking and as a courier driver.
Mary has also been a Hospice Volunteer and we both have served in various roles in our church.
Mary enjoys gardening in the raised bed gardens that Lauren built. We also enjoy biking and hiking the parks.
Why We Want to House-sit:
"Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile." -Albert Einstein
We have been influenced not only by parents, but also by living in a Dutch community, to be wise about spending, be a good steward of our resources and to do unto others as you would have done unto you.
By house-sitting, we can help the homeowner with their needs and for us, it will help us make our travels more fiancial feasible.
Meeting new people enriches a persons life as well. You can always learn something new from every person you meet!
We Offer Our Experience
Pets: We have had pets over the years (although not recently so we can travel). We have had several German Shepherds, Bichons, Huskie, a Siamese Cat and we pet sit our granddaughters Shorkie. So, we are comfortable with pets!
Homeowner:
We have had several homes over the years. We have lived at our present location for twenty-seven years. Our property is rural on three-quarter of an acre. Updates and upkeep with lawn care, care of flowerbeds, and vegetable gardens are part of our norm!
Additional:
Lauren has managed a rental house in the past as well. He is attentive to the needs of other homeowners. His lumberyard background is very helpful in this regard.
