Hello!
I am a quiet, responsible, forty-three-year-old female who has found the greatest joy of life to be traveling and connecting with new and old friends and family all over the world. I have lived and studied or worked in Wisconsin, Massachusetts, North Carolina, California, Colorado, Italy, Morocco, Madagascar, and Antarctica. Along the way, I have visited more than 60 countries and been to all seven continents.
One of the great ironies of my life is that while I am driven to see new places and explore, I am also an introvert and a homebody who loves to spend long periods of time in solitude, thinking, reading, writing, and recharging my emotional and mental batteries. It may be strange, but I find it equally thrilling to hop on an overnight flight to Chile as I do to settle into a new place and simply stay there for a long while, exploring a small area deeply.
For the past five or six years, I have been supporting myself by working for the United States Antarctic Program, taking contracts where I am part of the support team for the U.S.'s three scientific research bases in Antarctica. Now, with COVID making travel difficult, as well as for a change of pace, I would like to take a break from the life of a contract worker to focus on writing projects and to figure out what is next.
Being able to do this while taking care of someone's home while they are away--keeping it safe and clean and well cared for--would be a true joy for me and hopefully a winning situation for me and for you.
Thank you so much!
Lindsey
