- Retired couple looking for WA options - I'm from there, Dean's a fan, we'd like to make it home again.
- We can supply fabulous references from our landlords and our neighbours
- We can supply police refs of course.
- Available Sept 2022 on, we're in Queensland til then.
Must be Perth metro or commutable. Mum's in Claremont, Sis near Freo. I'm moving back to be round Mum, who's just turned 90. I grew up/lived there, Cott, Mt Lawley, etc, even crossed the river a few times as a young child and while at Curtin. We had lots of animals and so did Mum's cousins and brothers, everyone was on farms. Mum even tried breeding Siamese, but gave up. Keeping the queen in was very difficult in 1960's Cottesloe, and after 3 litters of half-siamese kittens, Mum kept the tom, who was a good-natured beastie and probably my major influence as a child.
Trying to think what i'd like to know about housesitters. We're neat, we clean our teeth and shop before we run out of things, usually. We love plants, and if you tell us to water them, we will. We are careful over our own safety and over possessions, and believe in lists and covid safety. Likewise, we love animals, we're quiet, well brought up by the pets we've owned and like reading books and messing on the internet. I write (songs and books, yes, some are on the net) and bake. Dean was a Scout, a fitter and turner toolmaker, and a tower installer then a phone guy high up at the Telstra complaints department you only get to if you're escalated. Our ancient car prefers off street parking, but will survive in the wild. Much as we'd love to, we can't currently manage animals - emptying litter trays and walkies just not possible. Likewise, we can't do larger animals despite experience, because of limited mobility. Dean's due a back op, which will mean a massive difference, right now we're limited by disability. And me not being able to do everything and look after animals.
We're poor thanks to being disabled, but we're both well-brought up and educated, especially by our grandmothers, and both have lived in houses we owned so we appreciate the home-owner's point of view. We're just moving our rental here on Gold Coast, Aug/Sep 2021, and it's costing a bomb. It will cost even more to move to WA (I know, we were a few weeks away from going when covid went out of control in NSW and we had to cancel). A housesit (or apartment-sit) will give us a chance to save a massive amount (even in a few weeks) we can put towards our resettlement costs and repaying the credit card.
Thanks for reading!
