My name is Jessica, and I grew up in the mountains of British Columbia, Canada. My partner, Charlie, is originally from Chicago, Illinois. During the pandemic, we made the move to Mexico so that we could be together, and where we had our baby in December of 2020.
I am a Canadian Clinical Counsellor (currently on maternity leave until 2022), and Charlie is a Director of Operations and Systems Analyst. Boring stuff aside, we both love living simply and close to nature.
I have designed two different tiny homes, and love creating and designing self-sustaining and/or efficient spaces. Charlie and I are in the middle of converting a school bus into a motorhome, but have put the project on pause while we look for our forever home.
We’re both experienced with horses, and love riding and training, and are avid gardeners. Our passions fall in alignment with being outdoors-ey types and healthy living. We love cooking, and immersing ourselves in the cultures that surround us.
The pandemic posed a unique situation for Charlie and I, where we were separated due to border restrictions (I’m Canadian, he’s American), when I was 6 months pregnant. So we made the move to Mexico to navigate this new reality.
In house-sitting, we hope to find ourselves in various spaces and places to be inspired, as we search for our forever home.
We’re both dedicated to and passionate about maintaining and creating home, and if we are able to house-sit, the experience would be beyond helpful to our new, young family.
By nature we are shepherds to what space we inhabit, and take pride in maintaining our space with love and attention to detail.
