So here’s a little about us…
A few years ago we decided to quit our 8 to 5 jobs in Switzerland and explore the world. We have now been on the road for almost 7 years and have visited more than 23 countries with hopefully many more to come! :) Our little nomad ‘Aya’ was born in Bali in 2017 and we’ve not stopped travelling since.
I think we can describe ourselves as an easygoing little family with a positive attitude towards life. We love exploring new places and meeting new people. Smiling, laughing, sharing, cooking, eating – well simply making the most of life that’s us !!
And let’s say that we are rather slow travellers… well really quite slow travellers! We like to take our time to discover the new country we are visiting. Why rush when we’ve got the time hey?! So we usually use or find a simple accommodation and stay for at least two or three months in each spot. This means that we’ve had plenty of experience staying as a guest in somebody's house and also Couchsurfing (before baby Aya joined us) so we know the importance of respecting someone’s home, privacy and culture.
When we stay in a new spot we love to walk around and discover our new neighbourhood. Which would be great for going on walks if you have dogs!
We love animals and nature. In addition to loving animals and caring for them. We like to have a healthy and organised lifestyle and it is important for us to respect each place we call « home ». We like to keep the place where we stay clean and tidy and we do our best to respect the environment.
So, how could we help you out if you have some pets?? Well we’ve both either had pets or lived with animals before travelling (dogs, cats, rabbit, hamster, fish, turtle…). We love animals however as we are full-time travellers there is no space for a pet in our suitcase. :( We’re really starting to miss the enjoyment and fun of having a pet in our lives and it would be great for Aya to experience that too!
Fortunately, we get to see, play and care for lots of animals of all sizes, especially in Asia or South/Central America where there’s always a cat or dog around. Aya’s already made countless little furry friends everywhere in the world. Every dog we see means that we have to stop what we’re doing and either wave at the dog or just sit there smiling. Aya is a sweet and quiet little girl. She is comfortable with animals and petsitting would bring lots of joy to her and surely to your pet too!!
We’ll bring lot’s of joy, love and fun to your home and pet’s life while you are away. We’ll send pics and videos of her/him daily so that you’ll know that everything is in good hands.
We’ve both been working as online teachers for about 6 years. Gil teaches French and I teach English. We are very flexible with our working hours and usually only work 2-3 hours a day, which gives us heaps of time to take care of your beloved home and pet.
