Having had 20 happy years living abroad in London, U.K., I am considering returning to the US on a full or a part-time basis and am greatly looking forward to medium-term cat-sitting as a valuable means of getting reacquainted with familiar locations and also discovering new places.
I have had four cats in total since 1990, with the last one--my wonderful cat Charlie--recently passing age 14.
I am also very experienced in managing property—having sublet several different properties in the US while living abroad, and am able to respond quickly and appropriately should any unexpected house maintenance issues arise.
Also, as I am recently semi-retired, I can give proper time and attention to your cat(s) and home.
And finally, having worked as a freelance photographer, I am using semi-retirement to build a collection of online prints, and can often be seen sitting at a desk with a cat or two on my lap keeping me company while I edit photographs—an ideal scenario should you happen to have lap cats. However, if yours are more the independent types, that works well too as they will likely be content with the quiet nature of my work.
