Hey there,
we, Joris and Linus, are two Architecture students from Germany, currently living in a small city in the Thuringia Forest. In our semester break we are looking for opportunities to travel historical and calm places, avoiding tourist crowds. Therefore we found, houssitting could be the perfect opportunity to experience different ways of living and visiting local architecture and other interesting places.
we have the wish of broadening our horizon by travelling and exploring other countries. Both of us enjoy visiting historical cities, a big smile comes to our faces if there’s interesting architecture around.
Joris grew up in a small village surrounded by lots of greenery, nature and a low mountain range. Since his early childhood his family went hiking, canoeing and horse riding. Till today he spends his free time climbing, hiking or doing other outdoor activities.
Linus also grew up in a village similar to Joris’, going on hikes with the family dog, mountainbiking and kayaking. Since he moved to Thuringia he still takes hikes, bike rides and climbs together with Joris.
We met in our first year of university. Till then we try to refill energy reserves by going on outdoor trips together in our semester breaks. Searching for new travelling opportunities we found this and directly loved it. To get the opportunity to care for pets as a university student is just gorgeous, because in our small dorms or flats we sadly aren’t able to give pets a adequate place to live.
Have a great day
Joris and Linus
