About Us
Ed is a retired City Manager for three cities in the state of Texas in the USA & was the CEO of two large water districts. He and Sherie volunteered for three years in Panama caring for 430 young missionaries. If you asked his employees what they would say about him, they would say that he is fair, consistent and sets clear expectations. Ed is handy and no worries about any surprises that may come up; he can handle it.
Sherie has managed our home and 5 children for 30 years and was active in civic and community affairs. She is fair, honest, and a great communicator. She is well organized, can handle emergencies, and is dedicated.
As a couple, we are non-smoking, non-drinking, non-partiers, and love life. I don't want to say that we are homebodies, but we like to stay in a routine of getting up early, do chores, and then settle in for the day by later afternoon. We enjoy each other's company, and we do enjoy going to events from time to time.
Since we sold the ranch, we are looking to book up our calendar so that we can have a place to lay our head each night. We both grew up on farms. Our parents taught us to love animals. We also like to walk, and go on hikes to stay active and welcome dogs to go with us.
Why We Want to House Sit
We are looking to travel, to go to different areas to house sit and see the sites along the way. This will provide us opportunities to do some some good for someone else. We are a service oriented couple.
We would like the houses that we care for to definitely be a non-smoking house. We also prefer it to have Wi-Fi, queen-size bed, and air conditioning.
Our Experience
We don't have any house sitting experience other than for ourselves. We have owned our own homes for over 40 years and have had to do the obvious yard and garden maintenance along with interior upkeep and maintenance.
We are very clean people and you will be very pleased coming home to a nice clean house.
What Can We Bring to the Assignment?
As stated above, we can bring a lot of our life's experience. Ed grew up on a dairy farm. Of course with dogs, cats, chickens, and horses. Sherie grew up with dogs and owned dogs as an adult. After we retired we had a ranch with cattle and horses and of course two big dogs, but after several years we have since sold that ranch.
On a final note, if Ed can run a city and Sherie being very organized, we can take care of your house, pets.
Oh and we speak fluent Spanish (the language).
