I am a middle school (11-13yo) math(s) teacher. My artist daughter and I love to travel during our breaks from school! Two summers ago we went all over Europe for 5 weeks. We moved to Seattle, Washington, USA right after (her for art school and me to support) and last summer, I learned all about the different neighborhoods through housesitting.
Now I'm hoping to meld the two and go back to Europe and stay in one place long enough to really experience it. I always treat the houses and pets I sit as my own. I am proud of the fact that every house I have sat for has been very happy to come home to a house that's cleaner than they left it and a relaxed fur bebe. I've always had animals, and we currently live on a boat with a boat bunny and a rescue pup.
I've had and sat for small (3 lbs.) to large dogs (108 lbs.). I only ask that if your dog is over 60 pounds, they are not leash reactive. Raising rescue dogs, I've had my fair share of leash reactivity and for your pup's and my safety, I am not comfortable handling dogs larger than that with leash issues. I've administered oral meds, done basic grooming and try my very best to copy the household routines to minimize pet stress.
