Hello!
My name is Alena, and I am originally from Russia. Currently, I live in London with my partner — we have obtained a five-year residency permit in the UK through the Global Talent program. He is a screenwriter, writing scripts for movies and TV shows, and works on his laptop. I am also a screenwriter, and I write cartoons.
However, over the last couple of years, I have gained extensive and diverse experience in caring for animals, which I will describe below.
For the past two years, we have lived in various countries: Armenia, Indonesia, and last year in Morocco. In each of these countries, I gained exceptional experience with animals, which ultimately led me to want to further develop in this direction. In Morocco, I was part of an association for the rescue of homeless animals and worked in a shelter. I was involved in treating, raising, and fostering animals. I saved and raised dozens of kittens, for whom I later found families. Often, I had about 20 kittens under my care simultaneously: 12 lived in my yard, and 8 in the house because they required special care and treatment. All the kittens were nursed from severe conditions to healthy and happy states and found new homes.
After working independently on animal rescue in the African city of Essaouira, I participated as a volunteer assistant in a veterinary clinic. I learned a lot from the staff of this veterinary clinic, for which I am very grateful.
I also helped the staff of a large shelter in Armenia, which housed about 50 dogs - this was a unique and very important experience for me in animal care. Additionally, in Russia, I had my own Fox Terrier, and I attended group training sessions with her under a trainer's supervision.
I am able to communicate with animals in their own language and I greatly enjoy doing so. In addition to taking care of them, I can also monitor their medication intake and administer antibiotic injections to your pet (provided that any treatment has been prescribed by their attending veterinarian).
I also want to share that we moved to London just a month ago, which is why my life, filled with interaction with animals, remained in the previous country, making me miss them greatly. I miss the company of pets, which is why I am here on this site.
Unfortunately, I must note that I currently speak English at a very basic level, but I am learning. This does not prevent me from communicating with animals, but I may ask you, the pet owners, to repeat something during our conversation or to speak more slowly. However, my partner speaks English fluently—in case we need to discuss something complex.
I would be very happy to meet you and your pets!
Thank you for your attention and have a great day ♥
