Retired Minister Wants to Travel
Six years ago I retired from the Unitarian Universalist Ministry in the U.S. Am a lifetime member of UU Minister's Association and the UU Retired Ministers and Partners.
I move to Mexico to have a quieter, more relaxed, more economically affordable retirement. Having lived here for almost six years I find myself wanting to travel, not only around Mexico, but in other coutries, too.
If I had to describe myself in a few words, it would say, I am "a quiet, centered, mindful individual with integrity."
I'm in good health, love walking around town but do not trek the mountains. I keep my dwelling neat, but have a cleaning lady, because I did enough cleaning growing up!
I am a small-dog person, but really love all dogs. I have owned 1 Schnauzer and 5 tiny, toy poodles, all but two were rescues. I loved taking care of my four-legged friends and having them as companions. My last little dog died one day before the covid shut-down. I've decided not to own any more, because I want to travel.
I would be able to take care of 1 or 2 cats, as long as they were friendly to me and did not bite people! Of course, that's not saying much, because I've had 2 and only 1 liked me!! I do like cats and know how to care for them, including brushing, if needed
House sitting with Housecarers is new to me, although I've spent time housesitting and taking care of many friends' homes and pets.
