I am a semi-retired teacher and counselor from Canada. I work from home with my husband and two young adult sons and love a quiet life with gardening, cooking, and reading. I enjoy long walks and meeting friends for coffee, love cats and small dogs.

Why I want to housesit

With our kids grown up, we love travelling both locally and internationally. While we enjoy staying at 's, they have become expensive and a "business". We prefer to stay at well cared homes where we can meet local people and enjoy time away from home feeling "at home". We enjoy learning and practicing new languages.

Our experience

Other than our own home, we have very good reviews as guests on , as well like to leave everything clean and better than how we found it. We have lived in the same home for 20 years and are used to daily cleaning and caring. We have had many pets whom we treated as family and we love cats and small, well-behaved dogs. I also enjoy taking care of gardens.
