Why I want to house sit
My step mom is 92 and lives near Sidney and I would love to be able to have Christmas with her, however her place is too small to have guests.
My experience
I have successfully house sat several peoples homes in the town where I live that have wood stoves and animals and at all times of the year, including -35 in the winter and lots of snow as well as in the summer and fall when there are gardens to look after. So, I am used to keeping places safe and animals happy. I pride myself on leaving the homes as I find them with everything clean and intact and animals loved and happy.
What can I bring to the house sit?
I was brought up with caring and being responsible for horses, dogs, cats and chickens on Vancouver Island; cleaning, feeding, watering, mucking out, nursing, so I am used to a lot of responsibility when it comes to animals. I also house sat someones home where the dog had to be given medication as well as have their teeth brushed twice a day. I have also grown quite a bit of my own food, so am used to gardening.
I have lived up north, on and off grid whilst raising my family and have had to successfully problem solve my way out of situations in the middle of winter with no help around, so I feel I am more than capable of carefully and lovingly looking after your home. I am also a homeowner myself and would respect your home as if it were my own.
Thank you for your time and interest,
AnneIola
