Hello, I ran away from home to try out that thing called living instead of being locked into survival mode. With a high five and "go for it" from my (adult) kids ofcourse! I started roaming in May 2024 and have been staying at Air BnB's mainly. I had no knowledge of house/pet sitting being what it is until recently and it is absolutely what I think I shoud do!
Briefly, I am born and raised upper midwesterner. I have lived a few different places but ended up back there and raised my two boys. I consistently, most times multiple jobs because providing for my children was number one. Now that they're grown and happy, I realized it's my time to start my own journey.
I am honest, reliable and loyal. Not great qualities for most jobs anymore, but seems to be exactly what you need to bring a stranger into your home, not to mention care for your animals. I am an animal lover-having cats my entire life, love and miss my grandpuppies, and just spent the last 5 months volunteering on a goat farm (the last two caring for sick goats I was, honestly, exhausted and when my last little was ready to head back to the pasture it was time for me to move on. So, I love animals and they were the whole reason I stayed so long. I have actually house/pet sitted numerous times for family and friends (just didn't realize it's a job-just what you do if you can help!) because I was the only person they'd trust in their homes unsupervised and knew their critters would be loved. By the way, that was told to me otherwise I think it sounds conceded! Also, I enjoy a sense of humor-if you hadn't noticed, so if that rubs the wrong way I will probably not be a good fit for you. I will, however, respect your property and your wishes.
As I sold my vehicle to fund my wandering adventure, I am without my own transportation. I utilize the air, train, bus, uber and local services when available. I do have a valid drivers license and I think I got two tickets when I was 16, Plus I'm old now! No, I don't need to borrow a car. I just wanted to let you know I don't have the means to run errands. As I am new to this, if you have ANY questions or I missed some needed information, please feel free to ask.
Thank you for your time and consideration. Hopefully I am what you're looking for and I can help.
