Ken and Anna were very accommdating. It was a great start for us as this was our first house-sit. They have a beautiful home with a private bedroom and bathroom for housesitters to use.  We thoroughly enjoyed their two little dogs, Bitsy and Josie, and took them for daily walks around the neighborhood.  

Anna kept in contact with us throughtout our stay which we very much appreciated.

We recommend them to anyone else although we would be happy to sit for them again!

Excellent Housesitting Experience

I housesat for Cathy for 5 days and had a wonderful time. Her home is made for unwinding and relaxation. All three cats are magical buddies, all get along well with each other. Bonding with the cats was a daily activity and they enjoyed lots of petting and conversation.

Cathy is incredibly generous with her space, making a guest feel very much at home and welcomed. The guest room is cozy and the kitchen is large. Once can prepare great meals in the space. Cathy left great detailed instructions for me in case anything needed attention. Her neighborhood is a prime location for ease and access. I look forward to visiting and helping Cathy out again!

Kris was an amazing house and cat sitter for us during an extended trip to see family. She took wonderful care of our three cats and garden. And when we returned the house looked better than we had left it.  She communicated with us regularly by email and helped to handle any issue that arose quickly and responsibly. We were a little nervous since this was our first experience using an online service to find a house sitter but Kris helped to guide us through the process and was extraordinarily trustworthy. We look forward to having her here again.

Emily and Karen greeted me with enthusiastic smiles and immediately made me feel at home with their friendly conversation. Their lovely house is in a naturally wooded area and yet is still close to all the amenities that anyone would need. They happily walked me through everything that I was going to need to know for my stay and arranged for the animals' food etc to be auto-delivered. They even added some extra toys for the cats in their food delivery. The cats are all gorgeous with their own unique personalities. Buddy and Chip loved to lie in bed in the evenings with me while I read, with Fluff always in bed when I woke up waiting for his morning cuddles. The cats are well-loved, have lots of toys and an enclosed outdoor area to keep them entertained. Prior to leaving, Emily and Karen had asked for pictures to be sent in their absence and always responded with gratitude. You couldn't ask for a better sit. I would happily sit for them again. 

Russ was an easy going house and cat sitter. Our cat felt very comfortable with him. Highly recommend.

Russ did a very good house sitting job.  He is very conscientious, discreet and humble.

Our cat was very comfortable with him.  She quickly trusted him.  He also took care of all the plants in the house and garden.  There were also always things that he did or bought in addition, even though we didn't ask. 

Because of the pandemic, our plans changed and Russ was very flexible.  Thanks a lot for this.  I can only recommend Russ.

It was our first experience with housesit,  and we definitely got the golden couple!

A very big Irish Thank you  to Karenlee and Gary for looking after our house, dogs and hens with such a loving care, as if it was their own.

The very first day the dogs took to them as if they knew them all their life and are still looking for them... and their treats. Karenlee used some of her many talents to knit lovely winter coats for them ( and hats for us), and Gary gifted us with beautiful sketches of Mork and Mindy, which we will treasure. 

On our return, they had a perfecf dinner ready for us. The house was immaculate,  cleaner than we left it, and so was the car! The fridge and food presses were filled. Even the chicken coup was cleaned out. They certainly went the extra mile!

We were in communication all the time with photos back and forth, and keeping in touch such like old friends, which we will remain from now on. Our home is their home. Looking forward to having them back in Ireland in the near future. 

We highly recommend Karenlee and Gary as perfect housecarers in every way. You' ll have complete peace of mind in leaving all your most precious possessions in their caring hands.

Our experience with Patricia was excellent. She was taking care of our house and pets last December. My dog has a chronic allergy and is pretty high maintenance in terms of her everyday medication, regular bathing, etc. Patricia took really good care of her, doggy was happy and healthy when we got back, so was our kitty. Being very sensitive, our furry kids tend to be selective in terms of who they like, and they were both obviously found of Patricia. She was very responsive, provided us with regular updates, it was overall a fantastic experience. 

Fabulous sit in Ireland

What a magnificent sit. We had seven weeks, up on the hill overlooking the villages along the Shannon River and it was just perfect.

The pets:
We will miss dear Mork and Mindy more than we could even imagine. They are just the best-behaved puppy dogs. They love their runs in the morning and then they’re happy to just rest up the rest of the time. They also love cuddles. Adorable. The chooks are easy-care and provide scrumptious eggs for breakfast.

The owners:
Gen and John are so hospitable. We enjoyed a few fun meals together, with lots of interesting conversation and laughter. They picked us up from the station and dropped us back there. We were thrilled to have the use of a car and there is much to explore. Gen showed how to make a great soda bread and John cooked a slap-up traditional Irish breakfast for our final morning. Very much appreciated the French Champagne left for us to ring in the new year. Communication was great – before, during and after the sit.

The house:
Gen and John’s house was a home from home for us. We were warm, had a comfortable bed, plenty of room . . . a study for writing, another sitting room for sketching, comfy lounge chairs for watching TV, a wonderful kitchen with everything we needed for cooking. The gardens and surrounds are delightful.

We highly recommend Gen and John as hosts. They, along with Mork and Mindy, now have a place in our hearts and we hope to return in the not-too-distant future.

I really enjoyed my 2 weeks stay in Maudsland.   The quite country feel of Maudsland was very relaxing, lots of bird life including Cockatoo's were regular visitor's.    Beautiful gardens & the pool was delightful.   The home owners were always available for contact... I am so grateful to have found Nicole, and that she was willing to take on a 6-week housesit over the holidays, that included care of my two young kittens. From start to finish, Nicole was a great communicator, extremely professional, dependable and detail-oriented. She was unflappable and easily addressed any issue that came her way, such as an access issue that occured upon her Most importantly, my pets adored her from the start. She could not have loved them better. Truly a Costa Rican Experience

You can truly live like a Tico when you get the opportunity to housesit for Anita. Her casitas are nestled in the mountains in a settlement of multi-generational families and a smattering of ex-pats. Everyone is friendly and helpful - even if you don't speak Spanish. You won't need a vehicle because you can walk for the necessities and hire a local driver when you need to go to town. Anita will provide things to make life in Costa Rica pleasant. Cleaning and garden service is often enough to make life a breeze. If you want a tourist haven and amenities, this is not the place. The rainy season almost wore me out, but one week after my assignment was over, I couldn't remember why!
If you want to live amid the mountains of Costa Rica beside a roaring river and meet everyday folks, this is the place.

Fearless

Paula came for a housesit during COVID and conquered the relentless process of entering Costa Rica, meeting all the requirements including purchase of health insurance. Coincidentally many sectors were experiencing protests and road blocks as a result of unrest from COVID economic hardships. Her first 24 hours here proved to be very difficult but Paula was cheerful and sympathetic.

She proved herself to be an experienced home manager, recommending a better way to use sensor lights and rinsing cycle for the washing machine. Paula handled every issue with grace including moving out of her original lodging into an upstairs apartment when there was a flood threat. 

When I returned, there were no surprises as she had notified me in advance of any breakages or equipment failures. All was clean and orderly, which is always a relief for the homeowner. If Paula applies for a housesit, please know that she is smart, tenacious and a great problem solver.

We have House sat for Shorty54 multiple times. Their dog, Bubba, is a wonderful personality. He is always so enthusiastic and loves to run on the beach.

Their home has a lovely bar/entertainment area downstairs with smart TV. WiFi is fast.

The chickens are easy. I like to get extra greens from the supermarket bins for them. There is a feeder and watering system that only requires topping up occasionally.

It's a short walk to beautiful Iluka Beach and the Blue River trail for walkers and cyclists. Convenient to all city amenities.

Airconditioning upstairs and downstairs. A lovely sunroom out the back and downstairs patio area.

Kelli and Ryan were great house sitters. The house was cleaner than we left it. We got daily updates and photos of our cats. In addition, they managed to keep up our indoor cats summer routine of being carried out to their outdoor play pens for their daily  ‘game drives’ of watching the local wildlife safely.  They even did some minor house repairs while here. When they arrived our ‘scaredy cat’ was hiding quite a bit. By the time they left Kelli had won him over and he was sitting in her lap every night. I would definitely recommend them and use them again.

We have been using this website for several years.  We have had a variety of house sitters and a lot of returns.  I can honestly say that Jeff and Charli are now on the top of our list.

They were on another sit at the opposite end of the country when we agreed that they were "the ones".  Because our sit overlapped a few days of theirs, Jeff flew out alone and we got him settled in the night before we left.  Charli joined him a few days later.

Comunication was always prompt and enjoyed the photos of our critters that occasionally popped up on my phone.  Because Jeff and Charli both work from home, the pets did receive a lot of one on one time.  In fact our parrot was mad when we returned home because Jeff loves birds and spoiled her rotten. 

I consider myself a pretty neat house keeper, but I think Charli topped me in that department.  We returned to an immaculate home.  They had been staying in one of the guest rooms and it looked like it hadn't even been used when they were done with it.  On top of it they washed the bedding in our room because we had been gone so long so that it would be fresh.  Our bathroom was spruced up and sparkling.  The pets were fat and happy.  Because  we had been travelling all day, a delicious meal had been left for us to enjoy (home made lasagne, bread, salad and dessert)....along with flowers.  Wow!  What a welcome home!

We have asked Jeff and Charli to return in the spring when they are done with their other commitments.  I can see why they are so popular and home owners want them to return.  Do not hesitate to use this couple.  We had complete peace of mind while they were in our home.

Great sit in a Great Area

My husband and I really enjoyed doing this sit at Christine's house. She and her husband were so friendly and welcoming. The house is beautiful and has everything you need for a long-term stay. Great internet if you need that for work. The neighborhood and town are beautiful. Very peaceful with lots of great hiking around and supermarkets and other amenities only about 15 minutes by car. Zoey and Pixel were great cats and so easy to take care of. We would be happy to come back if they ever needed us.

From late July until early October, Kris performed a housesit at our home.  Her diligence and care allowed us to have an extended trip without any concern for the health and safety of our pets and our home, respectively.  

When we arrived home, our pets were glad to see us but were totally at ease with Kris’s care.  She took one of them to the vet’s office when a problem arose and it was easily resolved with no other issues.  

Kris’s knowledge of and experience with hurricanes came in to play but she handled all those issues equally well.  One of our appliances malfunctioned and she coordinated the repair with ease.  

We would recommend her to anyone seeking a quality housesitter.  We are most grateful for her watchful care.

Molly and Shawn were the perfect find

Molly and Shawn looked after our two large dogs, and house, for 10 days. It is a pleasure to provide a reference for them. We found Molly and Shawn to be very friendly, helpful and trust worthy.

They were good with the dogs and we came home to find the place immaculate (They had even kept the snow on the drive and path cleared) and the dogs obviously well looked after.

We met Molly and Shawn before we left, which was a good idea, so the dogs were happy to be left with them.

Their home is a very beautiful abode - light & bright with a lovely outlook onto the garden, lawns & pool.   In a fabulous location close to Sydney city yet away from the hussle & bussle, the local shops cater to everything you need and are situated close by.   

Tony & Sue are lovely, easy to please and maintain effective two-way communication.   We so enjoyed getting to know (and love) their cats. Would welcome the opportunity to 'sit' their two adorable pussy cats in the future.

Doug and Chris are very friendly people with a lovely home on the outskirts of Gulfport. They took the time to walk me through the specifics of the property and what to watch out for from any potential hurricanes during their extended holidays. They happily shared info on things to do and good places to eat at in the area.

Chris and Doug were always quick to respond regarding any matters that needed their attention.

Their 2-dogs, Sadie and Maggie, get along very well and there were no issues during my time watching them. Taking care of them was a pleasure and I truly enjoyed spending time with them. They both love to chase the squirrels that live in the huge oak trees in the yard. Sadie loves a good game of fetch, though she didn't quite grasp the idea of letting the ball go so I could throw it for her again;-)

It was hard having to say good-bye after spending 10-weeks with them. Given the opportunity, I would happily sit for them again.
