Cindy is the BEST!

I don't think that anyone could've taken better care of Cooper than Cindy.  She said they would become besties and she was true to her word.  She spent a lot of time with him and they went on many walking/hiking adventures together.  I also really appreciated all the updates and photos that she sent to me.  I now consider Cindy a friend and she is certainly my top choice to watch Cooper when I have to travel.

We had so much fun looking after Wolfie and Magic for Toni! They have great personalities and the responsibilities were totally manageable. Toni's apartment is awesome - it is so colourful and pleasant with everything you'd need. 

The highlight was definitely all cuddling on the bed at night. Recommended! The stay is in a good location. It's a cozy abode even in the rainy months - it felt like a boutique hotel. Transit, groceries, and restaurants are steps away. It's close to the highway too. Plenty of parking.

Loving pets, generous host, art-filled house

I so enjoyed my stay!  Potter, the labradoodle, is a fun, loving spirit.  Adorable, tiny Miss Kitty Raku definitely wants her due attention, as well.  But don't get me wrong, both are well-behaved.  

Pam and I hit it off immediately - she is quite a talented artist!  Just name it, she has tried it (with success).  Every corner of her house piqued my interest with her own creations and those she brought back from her travels.  She generously offered her stores of food, her own comfortable bed, and the opportunity for me to have guests visit.  During the day I relaxed on the back deck watching the birds or in the screened in porch, and in the evenings I settled into the cozy glassed-in addition.  Colder days it would be nice to cozy up to the fireplace or around the outdoor firepit.  The house is located near the water (water view) in a quiet neighborhood, but close to all conveniences.   I highly recommend this house/pet sit!

Ben and Cindy stayed at our house in Yuma, AZ for a week.  I have had many housesitters over the years, all were good experiences, but Ben and Cindy are my favorites.  They were everything I could ask for in a housesitter- reliable, honest, loving caregivers to my 10 year old dog and cat, and extremely clean and conscientious caretakers of our home.  I wish I could have them every time I needed a housesitter!

Tim and Linda were great hosts. they welcomed us early, made us feel very comfortable, and gathered some of the neighbours for us to meet over dinner, the day before their departure. Their dog Lacie was adorable, and Lola the cat warmed up to us in no time. We found ourselves enjoying the property and location more than we expected, making short outings and back to cuddle with the pets. All amenities were within a 5-10 minute drive of their house. we had a private room and bathroom which were lovely. The view of the mountains from the back yard was great.  10/10.

It was such a relaxing and pleasant stay in Sante Fe. The pets are just wonderful and so affectionate and easy. The home is beautiful and the hosts were so generous and gracious. We do not have one complaint or suggestions. However, we really do miss their dog and 2 cats.

Debra and Paul cared for our home and pets while we visited our family in Northern Virginia for Thanksgiving.  They are a gracious couple and we enjoyed getting to know them and feel that we have new found life long friends.  In addition, they took fantastic care of Spencer, our 8 year old poodle and 2 cats.  Spencer enjoyed 4 mile walks and Pandora and Percy were cared for in a living manner.

Debra and Paul laundered their bedding, towels and repaired a couple of items that needed attention in our home.

We were very fortunate to have found Ksenya to look after our four cats and our house during our 2 weeks holiday. During our stay she always kept in touch and gave us updates. When we got back our house was immaculate and - more importantly - the cats were all well, relaxed and happy. We would not hesitate to ask Ksenya to watch our cats/house again and can absolutely recommend her anyone needing a house/petsitter.

This was a delightful housesit, perhaps our best ever. Glyn was a marvellous host and we have kept in touch since. We've even played numerous games of golf. My sadness now is that Glyn has moved from the district and taken Chilli the miniature dachshund with him. Quite sad but we have both vowed to continue catching up at his new location.

Jerry & Lore are two wonderful people who hosted us in their beautiful home and gave us an opportunity to care for their loving cat Jasper. They treated us (and I am sure as they do all their other house sitters) as part of their family starting from picking us up at the airport, to making sure we had breakfast and taking us out for dinner – you can’t ask for anything better than this! Their house is located in a charming Carlsbad Village, about half an hour from San Diego, with a local train, beautiful beach and fantastic restaurants & shops. There are also plenty of State Parks and many unique hiking trails and opportunities to explore. Overall, a pure bliss experience and we would love to come back for another house and Jasper sit!

Wonderful Sitters for our House and Cat

Vlad and Inna are really delightful and caring.  They sat for us at our house in Carlsbad, CA recently.  The are a very charming couple who took great care with our house and cat Jasper.  They sent us photos and videos to show how our cat was doing and he was always doing well. Vlad made Jasper his buddy and lapcat.   The house was in great shape when we returned.

We couldn't have asked for more, but Vlad did much more.  He fixed a broken door in our garage and made several little tables more stable.  He replaced batteries in my car's key fobs and didn't let me pay for them.  He picked us up from the airport at midnight and even bought us turnovers for breakfast.

If you get a chance, do let Inna and Vlad sit for you.  They will do an excellent job for sure.

Michelle and Terry were wonderful sitters

We have 2 (needy) dogs and 2 (picky) cats. Michelle and Terry took care of all four of them as if they were their own.  They sent us videos and kept us up-to-date as much as possible while we were out of the country.

They came a day or two early so we could show them the daily routines and enjoy a day exploring on their own.

Everyone was in tip-top condition when we returned home. The house was clean and the laundry was done. 

We hope they will come and stay sometime in the future. We (and the pets) would love to have them back!

Wow!!! We used Paws and Claws for a 2 week stay and she was truly amazing! She took our Chesapeake Bay retriever on many walks which she loves. She went above and beyond in every aspect. Our communication was fantastic, she took great care of our dog and cat, and our plants and our house was so clean when we arrived home. She even made us a special soup for our return home. She is so friendly and warm and an absolute delight. We will absolutely have her return!

If you love extreme peace, quiet and solitude then you should sit for Kenya and Mark, or rather for the fur babies, Bella and Gritz... Bella is the friendlest, sweetest and most eager pup ever and will gladly go with you on any hike or walk you care to take her on. Gritz, the cat, is happy to just be fed, watered and brushed (all day, if possible). K&M are lovely, generous people, communication with them was great, and their instructions were spot-on... And the "cabin", is a well equipped, warm, cosy home, with the best views, lovely sunrises, wildlife that practically come up to the door... what more could you ask for? I do hope to sit for K&M/B&G again!

Wonderful stay in beautiful Asheville

Ruby and Steve were hospitable and helpful in getting us oriented the night before their departure. Thankful that Ruby told us about the nearby Visitors Center and the trolley tours for a city overview; a highlight of our stay. Their home is very comfortable and in a fantastic location for exploring historic areas, downtown, and nearby parks - we walked a lot!  Joya is a sweet, easygoing companion in the house and on her walks; it was nice meeting their friendly neighbors and pooches. We enjoyed every aspect of our visit - including the lettuce garden!

My husband and I were able to spend time with the Ryans before we left on our trip. They were attentive to the  food schedule, needs and routine of our pet. 

The Ryans are a mature, responsible couple, completely trustworthy and personable. We appreciated the updates and photos , of our dog, , sent during their stay.

They took good care of our home and left it clean and in good order.

Ideal couple to care for home & pets

Ron and Judy were so loving with our cats that even now that they've gone and we are back at home, the cats seem to be wandering about looking for their favorite housecarers. I should also mention that they left the house cleaner than they found it, and took it upon themselves to do some yard work that I had left unfinished.

While we were away two months in England they kept us informed with photographs of the cats enjoyiing their company. Regular kitty updates were much appreciated!

We are hopeful that our travel dates and their availability will align again at some future date. We highly recommend Ron and Judy to take care of your home and critters and make your travels worry-free.

First, communication all the way around was very clear and timely.  The set up for the animals are convienent and easy! The dogs are so special. Lexi the shephard is just amazing; smart, obedient, sweet and you best pal, and a big baby. Just love her. Ronnie, is a small little happy go lucky ,easy going dog who just likes to hang out and be loved on. The cats are funny with the routine and warm up quickly. Chickens, (which we never took care of before )are super easy.Feed them twice, collect eggs, and they put themselves to bed and you just shut the doors. The dogs go with and Lexi gets excite because she knows you'll be throwing a stick for her.

The house is comfortable and well appointed. The front patio is just lovely and the views are hard to beat. Hanging at the house with the pets are enjoyable. Theprivacy is pretty great too.

The waters...just stunning. Blue green waters, clear and perfect. Beaches everywhere and the sunsets are just wow. We got there a couple days ahead of time to get the routine. Seems like a lot to do but it is organized and you get into an easy routine quickly.

Back to Sara and John...John will keep you laughing and they both are stratight to the point. They are easy going, kind, just easy to know and we are now friends. And for me, after being in their home and taking care of all the four and 2 leggeds, their family.

Just go, and you'll really get a feel for what true Greek living is like!

My son and I enjoyed this pet sit so much.  We stayed with Iris and Chris for two nights before they left on their holiday to get to know them and their beautiful dog, Glory.  They were such great hosts, warm and welcoming and we enjoyed our stay so much!  I have been sitting for many, many years and I bonded with Glory like I have bonded with no other pet.  I, in fact, have been back to see them and Glory a few times to visit and catch up whenever I am in town.  Great people, a wonderful home, and the hot tub was a wonderful way to end the winter evenings.  Glory is a loving, gentle dog and I will never forget her, or Chris and Iris.  We still keep in touch and have bcome friends.  I would  not hesitate to sit for them again at any time and I highly recommend others to take the opportunity to get to know this great couple and my favourite dog, Glory!

We were very lucky in having Sue and Bill come sit for us.  A great couple who have become our friends. They arrived 2 days before we left and we realised we had chosen well.  Bill was meticulous in noting all the details required in looking after our house and animals. Lexi our GSD needed to have eye drops and eye cream everyday, nothing was to much trouble. 

Whilst we were away they sent regular updates and were in constant contact.  The minor issues that came up were dealt with straight away.

On our return the animals were in supurb condition and very happy.  It was obvious they had settled very well with Bill and Sue.  The house was exactly as we left it.

I sincerley hope that they visit again. We feel we have made friends for life and would recomend them for house sitting without any reservations.

Elaine and her friend Deb arrived in a timely manner. I like my sitters to stay a day or so so we can get to know each other and the cats don't panic when we leave. Elaine took notes and pictures of things she needed to know like how to set the alarm and turn it off again. She was organized and patient with us when the internet suddenly went off and the installer was out of the country. The cats seemed happy and comfortable with her when we returned home. She made chicken soup and dumplings as well as a big salad that we shared together the evening we arrived home. The next day, they departed early in the morning.  The towels had been washed and folded on the dresser in our bedroom, so we knew they were all clean and ready for use. The cats looked for her for a couple of days after she left.

I came to cat/house sit for about 5 weeks with my friend Debra.  First of all I have to say Karen was a wealth of information both before our sit and when we got there.  She had all instructions for the cat’s care and house as well as every emergency contact you could think of.  She introduced us to her friend whom we could call on if needed.  Communication during the sit was limited as she and her husband Carl were on a cruise but we were able to email.  The house was big and in a lovely and convenient location.  When the internet went down she was able to contact someone to get it back up pretty quickly.  We were there for two days before they departed and she cooked yummy food for us.  The kitties were adorable even though it took a while for them to warm up to us as is often the way with cats.  We were surprise on how cold Cuenca was considering how close to the equator it is but the altitude cooled it off.  If you sit for Karen and Carl be sure to bring warm clothes.  Thank you Karen and Carl for the opportunity to stay in your home and love on your kitties.

This home is spacious and comfortable, and located in a great area of Albuquerque (south Ridgecrest, 5 minute drive to Nob Hill, and just a bit further to downtown and uptown).  Excellent coffee shop only a couple of blocks away. Chance the German Shepherd is a gem of a dog! He's mellow, obedient, smart, sweet, and playful, and he and I both really enjoyed walking the peaceful and lovely neighborhood! Sleeping arrangements were nice -- a guest room with a very comfortable bed -- and the large kitchen was bright and equipped with all the cookware, etc. you might need.

The home and dog owner, Jason, was clear with instructions for Chance and the house before he left, and was very responsive to all of my questions before he left and during my housesit. I especially appreciated that he inquired if I was comfortable in his house. I felt welcome and at home there. 

I highly recommend this housesit!

Great sitter!

Laura is a fantastic house sitter and dog watcher.  I met her through housecarers.com.  She came over to meet my dog and see my home and immediately inspired confidence.  She was great with Chance, my 70 pound German Shepherd mix and obviously has a good way with dogs.  She then asked good questions about the house, neighborhood, etc.

As I was preparing for the trip she was responsive to any updates I had or things I thought to mention to her.  When my trip started I got a message a few hours into my flight that she had arrived OK and a cute picture of my dog.  She stayed in touch with updates on how he was doing, which was my request.  She took him for regular walks, kept up his complicated food regimen and generally took good care of him. 

When I traveled home she stayed in touch to make sure my flights were on time and I did not have very long delays.  When I arrived home you never would have known I was gone for three days and not three hours.  Everything looked great, Chance was happy and things could not have been better.

In short, I could not have asked for a better house/dog sitter than Laura.  Thank you for everything!

Jay and Natalie took care of our house and beloved kitty Maddie while we were away on a month-long trip, our first long trip in 3 ½ years. Having not been away from her for a while, we were a bit nervous about leaving our young cat with people she didn’t know. But we needn’t have worried, because Jay and Natalie took excellent care of her. She was a happy, sleek (from all the brushing she got), and relaxed cat upon our return.

Our house was very clean and appeared well taken care of. While gone, we received periodic emails to keep us updated on things at home, which we appreciated. Our neighbors remarked about what nice people Jay and Natalie are.

We recommend Jay and Natalie to anyone who needs a short or long term house sitter.

We are so grateful that Susan agreed to sit for us.  We could not have selected a better-matched person for our needs.  She gave us so much piece of mind that our two precious pups were being well cared for and enjoying her company.  Susan followed our requests and wishes to a T, and made sacrifices to spend extra time with our older dog rather then out exploring the area.  We are so very appreciative of her care and consideration of our pups and our home.  We won't hesitate in the least to have her back - either for sitting needs, or a returning Friend!!

John and Judy prepared awesome detailed instructions.  Their block has a weekly social hour (outside) that is a great way to meet everyone and stay in touch with your neighbors.  Maddie (their house cat) was a pleasure and we formed a nice bond. 

Their place is easy to reach the rest of the Bay Area.  The ferry is only a few miles away which can get you to San Francisco and other bay locations. 

We would happily look after their house and Maddie again.

I spent a lovely 2 weeks in Brenda and Carol's beautiful and extremely comfortable and pleasant home caring for sweet Jupiter and Lola. Lola is lively and loving and accompanied me on all my walks in the area. Jupiter is adorable, likes to be fed on time, and is a loving, cuddly, soft old dog. They are both super easy to care for and I had a lot of fun, and funny moments, with them both.

Brenda and Carol were a pleasure to spend time with before and after the sit. Communication was great from the start, they welcomed me warmly and made me feel at home in every aspect. Their home is warm and very pleasant to be in, and is situated in the woods, a short drive from town, so even a routine walk in the neighborhood is a lovely experience.

I will definitely consider a repeat sit with Lola and Jup, as I still have places to explore in the area and these dogs are such a pleasure to sit for. As for Brenda and Carol, they are now my friends, so regardless of the dogs, I hope to meet again :)

Trip of a lifetime , PB & Mercury were awesome pets.

I had the honor to spend two months with PB, a very friendly and loving cat, and Mercury, the house guard dog, LOL! He's really a lover. Romania was absolutely stunning. Everyone seemed happy, they were friendly and helpful, no real communication problems as most spoke English or we used a translation app. I also was blessed to have spent a little time with their owners whom I hope had as good of a time while they were away as I did. I had an experience like no other. Truly blessed.
