We are Marja and Robert. A dutch couple. We are both retired and curious to new experiences. Therefore we would like te housesit abroad for a longer period. We love being in the countryside and like to have some activities in and around the house.
Let us introduce ourselves to you:
Marja: I am a 65 year old woman. I am married to Robert and we have together a son and a daughter. I used to work as a secretary, but the past five years I had my own businnes (cooking/selling soup). The past two years I also worked as caregiver to demented people. I have lots of interests: cooking, kitchen-gardening,reading, film, art, playing bridge, playing mahjong (in a group of 4) painting, swimming, walking and cycling. Being outside I always enjoy the beauty of nature in every season.
Robert: I Am a 65 year old man. My profession was director of a mutual insurancecompany (25 years). I love running, walking, making music, cycling. For over 20 years I maintain a smal natural island. (tree cutting, pruning, mowing) The wood we use for our own wood stove. I am skilled DIY (carpentry, plumbing, electrical installation, bricklaying, tiling, painting). As well as Marja I love being outside in the countryside and mountains as well at the sea.
We had a vacation home of ourselves in former Eastern Germany(DDR) (10 years).
In 2019 we started with housecaring: we stayed in Drenthe(NL) (4 weeks), France (6 weeks) Spain (6 weeks), France (1 year), Scotland (10 days), Utrecht (NL) (4 weeks)
We both speak and read Dutch, German, French and English.
We are socially skilled, friendly, enthusiastic, solution oriented and overall positive people.
