We are Ken and Marilyn, an active retired IT professor and retired paralegal who would love to mind your house, your pets and/or your garden in your absence. We are especially fond of cats and dogs but do love all kinds of animals. We enjoy doing other small tasks like gathering the mail or picking up packages. We will keep in touch with you via to let you know how your home and pets are doing in your absence.
Now, a little bit about us. We are proud to say we have been married forty eight years. Ken is a member of our local Rotary Club and has served as President and Secretary. We are experienced and reliable house sitters with impeccable references. We are nonsmokers who are active, independent and responsible and we have had lots of pets of our own over the years. Since we are fully retired empty-nesters with no pets, we have lots of time to pamper yours! We are experienced at administering medications and dealing with special food requirements, particularly for senior pets.
We have experience in both rural and city settings from a farm in the Rockies to a beach house in Hawaii, and a large B & B in New Zealand, to homes in Sacramento, Portland, etc. We have lived in the same home for 44 years and understand what it means to take excellent care of a property. We have a hot tub so are familiar with the upkeep of that as well.
We are avid travelers and birdwatchers and have been to several countries in Europe, Central and South America. We have traveled to the Caribbean, South Pacific and New Zealand. Our primary goal is to housesit and care for your home and pets. We treat each housesit as an assignment to be completed based upon your specific instructions and requirements. We will not be there to sight see and would never leave your house unoccupied unless prior special arrangements were made with you (to be away for a night, in the event of a lengthy stay).
We have had assignments in California, Colorado, Hawaii, Oregon, England, New Zealand and Canada. We have excellent references! Dr. Linda Harris has passed away and Dr. Zweir has sold the B&B in New Zealand, but feel free to call or any of our other references and/or do a background check to inquire about us.
