Hi
My partner and I are in need of a house/petsitter from 4-14 May. We leave in the afternoon on the 4th and arrive back early morning on the 14th.
The animals we have: A cuddly cat, 2 bunnies, 5 guinea pigs and 2 rats.
They are all very sweet and not a lot of work because they are all in the same room (except the cat) but the bunnies would need to be given a run outside most days and the rats given some exercise out of cage too. The guinea pigs are free roam so there is no cage cleaning involved but some sweeping up in the room usually twice a day.
The cat is VERY snuggly...with us. If either one of us is around he won't let anyone else even touch him. However we have heard reports that as soon as we are gone he will transfer his need for snuggles to whoever is there. Be warned though, the minute we return he will act like he doesn't know you :)
There are some plants that would need watering too.
We live in a very quiet village (South of Berlin) in walking distance from a beautiful big lake (Mellensee) and a lovely forest just a minute or 2 walk up the road. We are accessible to Berlin by train (and bus from the house) but it is not ideal for regular commute to Berlin being a little infrequent. We do have internet and mostly it works fine but of course being in a village, it has its infuriating moments.
The house is small and we have a little garden. Hopefully the weather is warmer by then and we have a little inflatable pool if wanted :). There is a beach further up the road (with bbqs) but it is pay entry (I think a couple euro.) However closer to our house is a festival park area with free access to the lake (and a volleyball pitch, but no nets). We have a couple bikes to use too and a little firepit.
We are in walking distance from an Edeka/pharmacy and a couple other shops. Otherwise Zossen is a 15 minute drive away (there is a bus too) with bigger shops and more options.
It is a very quiet peaceful area and the forest is lovely to walk in. There is a wakeboarding/waterski park not far too.
Let me know if you have any questions!
Thank you very much.
