We are looking for a person or couple who knows/know how to look after our neat and tidy house -- including important plant watering. In summer, a lot is needed and most is done by an automatic system. Our sitter/s will be caring for our 12 year old well behaved Border Collie dog, Prince.
Called Godolphin, the 3BR timber house is well equipped (including air conditioning and wi-fi with unlimited downloads). The house is very light and attractive, with a beautiful outlook over the golf course, and is within a 5-7 min walk of Moss Vale shops and new swimming pool. Prince needs two daily walks min) in the large park 250 m away at the end of our street, where many dogs are walked off lead every day. We expect that an introduction to beautiful Prince, the house, and our very friendly neighbours would precede the sitting.
For those unfamiliar with the Southern Highlands, Moss Vale is one of the larger of about eight small towns in this green, hilly and beautiful area, virtually all connected by bus and/or train. Sydney is 90 min drive north and Canberra 105 min south; both cities can also be reached by direct train from Moss Vale (the station is an 8 min walk). Beaches such as Shellharbour, Kiama, Nowra and Wollongong are just over an hour away. The area boasts beautiful trees, several wineries, a four-cinema complex at Bowral (15 min by car), many appealing restaurants and cafes, gyms and walking trails within a 20 min drive.
House sitting could start on 31 January, the day before we leave, or even the day before (early arrival has the advantage of allowing orientation and introductions to our neighbours); it could end the day we return on 21 Feb or the day after.
