We are a young family (mum, dad & 3 children ages 15, 13 & 10)travelling overseas in June/July for 4 weeks. It is with much sadness we can't take our pets with us! We live in central Qld in a lovely little town called Monto, population in town about 1,000 surrounding district about 3,000. We have Cania Gorge national park a 15 minute drive away and Cania dam. Our house is on 1 acre on the edge of town. 3 bedroom brick ground level. No neighbours close by. We run our business out of our home, which is a Veterinary Clinic. The clinic is at one end of the house. There are 3 bedrooms in the residence area.We are a single man clinic and will not be employing a locum while away so you will not be disturbed by staff. Our vet nurse may come in 1 or 2 days a week to dispense medication if necessary. We have 2 jack russell cross dogs, both love walks and attention! We also have 2 cats, one very spoilt and the other not much of a house cat. The children have goldfish, we have 3 laying hens, and lovely gardens surround our property. We also have a vegetable patch. The garden is well established so not much maintenance will be required. Winters in Monto can be very cold in the mornings and nights but during the day, beautiful. We have a fireplace for such nights & mornings. There will be firewood here. We are looking for honest, trustworthy and reliable housesitters. As we run our business from home we want our house to be lived in and maintained while we are away. Monto has a Dr surgery, hospital, local IGA & Foodworks supermarkets, cafes, pubs, newsagents, quilting & fabric, mens & womens clothes/shoes, furniture, Mitre 10, Retravision, NAB, BOQ & suncorp banks, ANZ, CBA agencies, Australia Post, beautician, hairdressers, RSL, mechanics and other numerous local shops. Our house has wifi internet, lovely rain water tank & also town supply. Must be NO SMOKERS check out this to view Cania Gorge national park .nprsr.qld.gov /parks/cania-gorge
