We need a responsible, kind person (with experience and references) to watch a very mellow cat (LuLu) and an even more mellow dog (Poppy) from July 5 to August 15.
Situated at the northernmost end of Colorado's northernmost town, Fort Collins (named by Money Magazine as the best place in the country to live), our charming 1905 Victorian cottage offers a wonderful, relaxing jumping off point to the absolute best of Colorado's mountains, lakes, rivers, meadows, bike trails, parks, and golf courses, while also being walking distance from "Old Town" Fort Collins, designated the #1 downtown area in the country by Livability .
From the swing rocker on our shaded front porch, the Rocky Mountains are visible to the West (the Rocky Mountain National Park is less than an hour away), the Cache la Poudre River (Colorado's only "wild and scenic" river--equivalent to a "National Park" designation) is a five minute walk to the North, and downtown with its many restaurants, shops, galleries, and bars is just seven blocks to the East...
Whether you like hiking, biking (the city offers free bike rentals), fishing (lake or stream), world-class rafting, swimming and other water sports, wildlife watching, scenic driving, relaxing, golfing, eating, or drinking (with 9 breweries, Fort Collins is known as the "Napa Valley of Beer"), Fort Collins offers the best of it all. If you wish to stay at home and just relax, we live under the shade of a giant Cottonwood tree, perfect for cooling off during the hot summer days.
