We are retired and live in Queanbeyan (near Canberra) on a small estate. Our home is approx 20 years old, well set up and very comfortable, with an open plan, spacious living area. The sitter's bedroom only accommodates one person comfortably, so we prefer a single sitter. It is a very quiet and handy location - esp for South Canberra commuters.
We have a three year old, rather sociable cross dachshund/beagle who likes lots of company, pats, walks and fetching the ball (absolutely addicted to this!). There is a lot of open, semi rural/bush countryside around us which caters for all sorts of different walks (both on lead and off lead).
We have planted an easy care garden (natives at front and no lawns anywhere) but some of the more exotic plants on the back verandah and near the house still require watering - esp if the weather is hot.
We prefer a sitter who loves dogs and a little gardening. Only non smoker/non drinker please.
