I need a sitter who can take care of my home and beloved pet, Maya, an elderly border-collie mix. I also have two cats who spend most of their time outside.
Maya spends much of the day sleeping. She enjoys an occasional walk (for about 10 minutes) in the evening once it cools down. Maya is very friendly and is a low maintenance dog. Other responsibilities include feeding the cats, watering the lawn and plants, and maintaining the house in an orderly fashion. You will need your own vehicle.
My spacious home is located on the west side of El Paso, within a 15 minute drive to the Franklin mountains where there are many hiking paths. Las Cruces, Old Mesilla, and the Organ Mountains in New Mexico are 45 minutes away. If you enjoy hiking, this area offers much to do and you don't have to drive very far.
I am looking for a dog-lover who has experience taking care of pets who are considered family members. The cats spend very little time inside. They appear twice a day to be fed and enjoy a bit of affection, but really want to spend their time outside.
I leave May 31st and return June 27th. End date is a bit flexible.
