We have a single level 4 bedroom airconditioned home in Forest Lake (halfway between Brisbane City and Ipswich).
You'll have full use of the house, wireless internet, Foxtel, medium sized secure private back yard and small above ground pool. Within walking distance is an IGA, bottle shop, Chinese, Fish n Chips, Indian, Chemist, Medical Centre, Dentist & Hairdresser. Five minutes drive is Woolworths, Chemist, takeaways, McDonalds etc
We need a mature, calm person to sit from 27th December until 1st January and look after our two dogs Mason and Spot (both adopted from the RSPCA
There would be no housekeeping required - just collect the mail from the letterbox each day.
There is no need to be home all day - but you'll need to be there to feed the dogs in the morning and again in the evening, and to stay overnight.
Mason (smaller of the two - black and brown brindle) is a 5 year old staffy cross and LOVES to spend time with people. He will happily sleep in the sun all day and sit with you on the couch in the evening for company.
Spot (white with brown spots) is a 1 year bull arab cross staffy and has some special needs. He was abused prior to our adopting him from the RSPCA and because of this is extremely nervous and timid. He requires a lot of patience to gain his trust, but once you have that trust he will be your best friend. When around Spot you need to speak in a quiet voice, let him come to you, no sudden movements, and most of all be calm and friendly.
We would love the dogs to be walked most days but it might not be possible with Spot. But if you can play in the back yard with them they would both be very happy. Mason LOVES to chase the soccer ball if you'll kick it for him.
