Looking for a fit, responsible dog/house sitter to mind our 3 bedroom South Etobicoke home and our year old weimaraner dog. We live very close to Lake Ontario and a wonderful park with walking trails.
You'll have run of the house and we hope you'll make yourself comfortable and feel at home. It's a great little house in a fantastic neighbourhood. You can catch a streetcar to downtown two blocks away, or get a bus up to the subway station. You can use my metropass for the duration, which includes use of the express bus service during rush hour. There are enough shops in walking distance that you wouldn't necessarily need a car. If you do have a car, off street parking is available.
Dozer the Dog is a very enthusiastic dog when outdoors (he cannot go off leash or his enthusiasm will get him in trouble), so someone experienced and comfortable with big dogs is vital. Dozer prefers human company to canine company. He loves his walks, and we live near an excellent walking area. He is not a big fan of the Dog Park, as he's not keen on dogs he doesn't know well. In the house, he is a big lovey couch potato who loves nothing more than to cuddle. And food. He really really loves food, so you need to make sure anything he's not supposed to eat is put away.
We have a fenced yard, so potty breaks are no problem. He usually gets one walk a day of minutes. He can be left alone in the house for 6-8 hours (maybe longer if he has a good 'outing' before you leave), although he will then be glued to you upon your return. He gets lonely and is a true velcro dog.
Please get in touch and tell me about yourself, and we can see if you and Dozer are a good fit for each other.
Many thanks!
