I'm looking for a pet/apartment carer for about two weeks, ideally Dec. 20 to Jan. 2.
The weather is perfect. Mexico City is a cultural treasure with an excess of museums and concerts, all easily accessible and very reasonably priced (or free.)
I need someone who can care for my geriatric Papillon, Olive, nearly 15 years old, slightly deaf and in good health. I have three rescue kitties: Papi, a sweet and affectionate 5 year old, and Romeo and Xoxo, two two-year olds rescued at two days old. Everyone gets along fine. Olive needs to go out 4 times a day for brief walks. There is a lovely park across the street where we walk in the mornings and cameras and security around the building when you take them out at night. The neighborhood is quite safe and residential. But since she started losing her hearing, Olive is nervous about going too far.
The apartment is very comfortable and well-situated, near public transportation, restaurants, shopping and banks. The building is brand new, with parking on the ground floor, an elevator, professional security 24/7, high-speed Internet and quiet neighbors. There is a queen bed in the master bedroom and a futon in the living room. Two full bathrooms and well equipped kitchen and an office with high-speed Internet and Netflix on the TV. My neighbor across the hall speaks English and French and I can leave you the number of a friend who also speaks English. The maid comes two mornings and one afternoon a week. She lets herself in and you do not need to be here when she cleans (but it's okay if you are.) Also, she can take the dog out at about 2pm on Mondays and Wednesdays if you are out for the day, or at 2pm or 5pm on Fridays.
My building is new and well-constructed. It was not damaged in the earthquake in September.
I have had the luxury of trusted housecarers twice in the past. You folks are amazing. And so is Mexico City...
