We are looking for experienced dog-lover(s) to care for our 2 dogs from about 8 September till 26 September, 2018. We live in a quiet safe area near the beach and 15 minute drive to Savusavu town.
Jarlie is a rescue dog, about 2 years old in August. She has a beautiful personality, very affectionate and is a great watch dog! I walk her every day, mostly to the beach but sometimes to the nearby creek and waterfall – both are beautiful walks. We are about to take on a 10 month old blue heeler pup.
Our property is situated on a 5 acre block on top of a hill, overlooking the Koro Sea. We have a guest cottage complete with cooking facilities, which is probably where our dog-sitters will stay. Our main house has 1 bedroom and ample living quarters which we will make available, if necessary. The property is very private, quiet and safe, our nearest neighbors are a 5 minute walk away.
We have a gardener who comes fortnightly to brush-cut and do general garden maintenance. We have a cleaner who comes when we need her.
Savusavu town is 15 minutes by car where you can do most of your required shopping. Unfortunately we cannot lend out our car as it is difficult to get repairs and spare parts for it. It is possible to rent a Suzuki Jeep for about F$50 per day. There are also about 5 buses running daily to town from the main road, about 10 minute walk.
In town there is a doctor, vet, hospital, library, yacht club and great eateries. There is lots of exploring to be done on the island of Vanua Levu – waterfalls, beaches and reefs, local villages, mountains and rainforests.
