The apartment is located at the intersection of Chapel Street and Dwight Street on the western edge of downtown New Haven. Only three blocks from Yale’s campus and the center of downtown, with great restaurants, bars, and coffee shops practically on the doorstep! Come enjoy the annual Festival of Arts and Ideas and everything else the Elm City has to offer.
My very sweet six-year-old cat Thistle is going to be looking for someone to befriend on while I'm away! He loves greeting you at the front door, sleeping, and sitting right beside you on the couch - he even likes to watch TV. He is low-maintenance and just happy to have a companion in the apartment and someone to give him his food twice a day. He’s used to me being out of the house during the day for work, so you don't need to worry about going out and exploring.
I have a lot of houseplants, but they're also low-maintenance - as long as you water them once or twice while I’m away, they'll be happy!
About the apartment:
A 1-bedroom space on an upper floor of a historic apartment building (with elevator!). The building is full of friendly, considerate people. The apartment gets great light and is very comfortable.
Amenities: two window AC units; laundry facilities in basement (paid with app); high-speed wi-fi; TV with subscription to several streaming services; queen bed.
Ideal for an individual or couple, or even a pair of friends (if one doesn't mind sleeping on the couch or air mattress!).
The building is in walking distance of a supermarket and several smaller food stores. You can stay here very comfortably without a car, but if you do drive, I can supply a visitor pass for street parking.
