Cosmo (11, beige bobtail), Dexter (9, half-bengal tabby), and Manny (5, white-chested tabby) request the presence of playful, chatty, and friendly humans to keep them engaged and snuggled during the 5 week absence of their human family.
Their parents work from home, so they are used to human presence nearly 24/7, and they have a 3.5 year old human brother, so they're used to a near constant stream of chaos. Families welcome!
Hi there! We are the Schwannema Family: Justin, Ashley, Skyler, Cosmo, Dexter, and Manny! Us humans like to travel a lot, and we have a few big trips lining up for Since we work from home, our cats are used to a lot of human interaction, so we prefer in-home pet sitters whenever we can (instead of drop-in visits). We are avid home-exchangers, and prefer having people in our house for safety when we're gone for long periods of time.
We are searching for a house sitter or multiple to occupy our home between Feb 18 - Mar 24. We will be in Mexico living and working remotely from Playa del Carmen and easily reachable by text. We have a detailed home manual booklet that we use for home exchanges which will provide all of the information you need to feel fully at home.
Requirements:
- Attentive pet care for our sweet cats. The care is simple and straightforward: scoop litter boxes every 1-2 days; refill water bowls every 1-2 days; fill Dexter's RFID bowl daily; check Cosmo and Manny's automatic feeders weekly.
- Send regular proof of life photos (it is impossible to send too many. How about 2-3x weekly, solid updates with as many photos as you're able to).
- Try to keep our remaining plants alive. We are not great plant owners and won't begrudge you if the roster is not full upon our return but if you could try to keep them alive that would be appreciated.
- Collect the mail/packages.
- Take down the trash and recycle (specifics in our detailed home manual).

We want everyone to feel at home in our single-story 2400 sf 1959 ranch As experienced home exchangers, we are comfortable and familiar with welcoming strangers into our home as guests. We now want to explore the house sitting community as a way of expanding our travel resources.

Our 400 sf deck gives you outdoor living space, with a canopy, grill, outdoor heater, and a 14' swim spa! Enjoy the water year-round. We will provide all the info you need to use the swim spa safely so you can relax.
Amazing WFH office space.
Because both parents work from home, we have killer WiFi speeds and two dedicated WFH setups. We'll be taking some stuff with us but our monitors will remain. Let us know what you need, and if we don't have it, we can probably borrow it for you.
Get some good sleep.
With blackout curtains, a king-size Casper, salt rock lamp, and sound machine in the primary bedroom, you will get a fantastic night's sleep.

Our living room is an entertainment heaven with a 65" flat screen, a Roku, Streaming-galore, an XBox1x & SNES, and surround sound. We have a closet full of games, and plenty of toys. We also have beach chairs, pool noodles, ladder ball, cornhole, and a beer pong table if that's your style. Our library includes hundreds of books for you to read during your stay, and our son's room has childrens books in English, Spanish and French.
Gourmet cooking & baking space.
Feel free to use any of our kitchen appliances, outdoor grill, and bar accoutrements to make yourself something delicious. (Ninja blender, toaster, food processor, juicer, electric mixer, KitchenAide counter mixer, sous vide, and craft cocktail tools.)
The friendliest, dog-like cats.
These three indoor cats are our furbabies! Each one has a unique, distinct personality, and together they bring us much joy. We have a detailed Cat section in our home manual that details each personality. Dexter is an indoor-outdoor cat with a few special rules that we can discuss in more detail if you are interested in the gig! :)
Amazing location.
Donelson is only ten miles east of downtown Nashville and is our favorite suburb because it's so close to town but just far enough away from the city center to be peaceful and not too crowded. We're 15 mins from an active downtown life and less than 10 mins from the lake. It's the perfect balance of city and country.
