I am a responsible middle-aged single male, fit and active and in excellent health. I do not drink, smoke or entertain, preferring to read or use my computer after duties. I have experience housesitting both urban and rural properties throughout the North Island of New Zealand.
Properties I have minded include a hundred and sixty acres, near Rotorua, responsible for four dogs, a cat, ducks, chickens and pigs, and liased with another who visited the farm stock... Also eight month's looking after a twelve acre property, near Rotorua, with dogs and horses, for an absentee owner. I performed many light duties on the property, including painting and fence repair, on a nocharge basis. Owner provided electricity, water and animal feed... And, over a month on a similar property near Napier, on which there were pigs, fowl, horses, cows and sheep, as well as two very large G.Shepherds. Yet another twelve acre lifestyle property in the far north bush with two dogs to look after. And in Hawkes Bay, East Coast looking after twelve acres with four cows, thirteen sheep and a working dog. There I moved stock around and fed out hay etc. And in rural Bay of Plenty fairly long term with a dog and some cows...
I have also looked after some suburban properties along with the pets.
I look after pets and working animals of nearly all kinds. I have a strong affinity with all animals at both a physical, mental and spiritual level. For all properties, I maintain the garden areas as well as keep the house clean and tidy, clear mail boxes and I perform all tasks requested, no more, no less. I respect personal privacy and do not touch, without leave, items of chattel and equipment of any kind. I log most all activity, especially any important events, for the benefit of owners upon returning home.
I can be available for long- or medium-term requirements anywhere in the North Island, Bay of Plenty, Hawke’s Bay, and Gisborne regions of New Zealand.
For the last two years I have been my own housecarer, but now the property is tenanted and I am available again. I use my campervan for accommodation in between assignments, and also as transport
