Your pets, home and garden will be in experienced and compassionate hands. You can enjoy your time away knowing full well that you can trust me to care for everyone and for everything.
My work background is that I have a masters degree in nursing with an emphasis in teaching critical care -- I worked in Cardiac intensive care for many years and for the past five years I’ve worked as a nurse case manager for Hospice (my patients were in their own homes so I helped teach families how to take care of their loved ones so that the person could die with dignity at home). I also volunteered with many local nonprofit groups over the past 30 years in Raleigh, NC and served in leadership positions in several of those. I have recently completed 5 months of training at the Rocky Mountain School of Photography in Missoula, Montana and am prepared now to pursue photography as a second career. I do hope to combine my knowledge gained from health care and hospice care with my photography to document stories of people and places.
As a mother of 2 (now grown-up) children and countless beloved pets over the years, you can be confident that I will provide your loved ones with the utmost care and compassion. As an RN, I am comfortable giving injections or administering medications to pets if that is needed. As an experienced house and pet sitter (x4 jobs in Maui in the past), I know that it may be helpful to keep in touch with you while you are away to let you know all is well. As a homeowner for over 30 years, I will treat your home as if it is my own -- and as an experienced organic gardener, I would enjoy also taking care of your plantings for you.
I am happy to answer any questions you may have and can provide s of people who have told me that they are happy to vouch for my character. Know that I am confident in my abilities to provide the best care possible while you are away.
