We are a young, active 63 & 68 yr young couple, non-smokers, non-drinkers, own our own lakefront home and understand the attention to detail necessary for meticulous maintenance. In addition to being health conscious retired chiropractors, my gifted-with-animals husband is a retired Major General with top secret SCI-SSBI clearance. Incredibly he connects deeply with animals (perhaps it is only the bag of dog biscuits he carries in his pocket!). He has been responsible for millions of dollars of property and equipment (I call him my Mission Man) and is a wiz when it comes to taking care of spas, pools, appliances, gadgets and machinery. For all our friends who know us and we have house sat for (two and four legged, winged and finned!),we are pleased to say we are enjoying our new lakeside home in Michigan and look forward to doing more house sitting on the east coast now. As always we continue to do house sitting on the west coast and Hawaii as well. For those of you who are not familiar with us, prior to relocating and purchasing a home several years ago on the west coast in Oregon, our friends asked us to house sit and to our glorious surprise we LOVE this lifestyle. In addition to owning over half a dozen homes between us in the past we have always had a deep rapport with animals of all kinds. Most important for us is combining our love of travel with our love of animals, which is always fun and makes us happy! So knowing your pet,understanding the breed, and knowing your pet's daily routine is our first priority when considering a house sit. Therefore please give us some details when contacting us about your pet sitting needs. Trustworthy and dependable we are both meticulous about ourselves and our environment, mechanically inclined and excel at light maintenance work, very respective of privacy and neighbors and are quiet. Basically we enjoy life in the moment! We both have extensive corporate backgrounds so our decision-making abilities and willingness to assist with paperwork is a plus! We do not charge when pet sitting in an area we want to visit to vacation (unless you require extensive medical treatment for your pets). Most important for the transition of your pet to being with a house sitter, we will nurture and spend time with your pet(s), as we enjoy living in a relaxed atmosphere at home. We do enjoy exploring new neighborhoods for 2-4 hours per day once your pet(s) are comfortable with us.
