We are a vibrant 73 & 78 year-young couple, non-smokers, enjoy an occasional glass of wine with dinner only, own our own Michigan (to be North Carolina in May home and understand the attention to detail necessary for meticulous maintenance.

Stephen is doing great though he continues to use a scooter when we have long distances to walk (pets running alongside or on his lap!) when they would rather not walk with me. lol
Health conscious retired chiropractors, my gifted-with-animals husband is also a Retired Senior Officer with top secret SCI-SSBI clearance. (Bio details below) Incredibly he connects deeply with all animals two and four legged, winged and finned (perhaps it is only the bag of dog biscuits he carries in his pocket!). He even talks with the hummingbirds! He has been responsible for millions of dollars of property and equipment (I call him my responsible Mission Man) and is a wiz when it comes to taking care of spas, pools, appliances, gadgets and machinery. For my part, I meticulously care for your home and your pets. We both shower them with love, presence, love (did I mention love?).
Most important for the transition of your pet to being with a house sitter, we will nurture and spend time with your pet(s), as we enjoy living in a relaxed atmosphere at home, especially the first vital 48 hours for your loved one(s). We do enjoy exploring new neighborhoods and lunch out for a couple of hours once your pet(s) are comfortable with us. This is all determined by and with permission from your pet(s)!!! Our first priority when we are in your home.
Happiness for us is being with animals! About twelve years ago, our friends asked us to house sit for a summer while they vacationed and to our glorious surprise we fell in LOVE with this lifestyle: enjoying our love of animals while vacationing and exploring.
Responsibility: We take our responsibilities seriously. Knowing your pet, understanding the breed, and knowing your pet's daily routine is our first priority when considering a house sit. Therefore please give us some details when contacting us about your pet sitting needs - especially for cats and older animals. We find very few people truly adore cats and know how each one has its own personality.
Trustworthy and dependable we are both meticulous about ourselves and our environment, and certainly your home, mechanically inclined and understand maintaining a home, very respective of privacy and neighbors and are quiet. Basically we enjoy life in the moment nurturing your pets and spending time with them. And, we are thrilled to take your pets with us if they like to ride in the car, walk, bike, hike or our favorite is to take them for lunch at an outdoor cafe, weather permitting of course!

Need more info: For those of you who are not familiar with us, prior to relocating from CA to Oregon over 15 years ago our friends asked us to house sit. We began with a two month sit and it opened us to the opportunity of enjoying a winter house sit in Oregon for a friendly kitty. She was adorable spending most of her time outside as she was previously afraid of their dog, and transformed into a lap cat by the time we left. Her owners were thrilled. To our glorious surprise we fell in LOVE with this lifestyle as it makes Life even more interesting, fun and rewarding.
We do miss our own dear pets we have owned in the past and thank each of them for all the lessons they brought us in knowing how to care for yours.
