Before retiring in 2006, we were running our own two thousand acre farm plus b & b. Since then we have been housesitting for various families.
We are very responsible, love looking after animals and miss our own two dogs and two cats left behind with our family. Our last six housesitting positions have involved dogs, cats, sheep, cattle, birds, fish and guinea pigs.
My husband and I are non smokers, non drinkers, very active, enjoy gardening, walking - no problem with exercising your dog, and are competent with house maintenance. We are reliable and careful, will look after your home as if it were our own - probably better actually....and if you have a bookcase of books, I will think I am in heaven. In previous housesits we have on request, made new vegetable gardens, put in drainage systems and painted rooms.
We own a house in New Zealand but have yet to live in it as we are enjoying meeting new people and exploring interesting places through our housesitting positions. What an wonderful world has opened up to us since retirement.
