Prior to the move to England, we ensured that many Australian home-owners had wonderful holidays knowing that their animals and home were well cared for. We can show you numerous references (please see our video for a few excerpts) as well as verify that we are both well regarded and honest professionals. Since moving to England in early 2014 we have volunteered in a rural retreat for vulnerable youth in Scotland and also house-sat an eco-farm in Wales, a country house on the outskirts of Paris and worked on an organic garden in Cornwall, England. These were all highly rewarding and enjoyable experiences with references available.
We are a caring, mature couple who are both experienced house-sitters and adore animals.

Why we love to house-sit:
With Bronwin having recently graduated from full-time PhD studies and both of us writing novels we prefer to house-sit when we travel. For us, it's a wonderful way to meet the locals and feel part of a community. We love to explore the local landscape, discover the history, buy local food and enjoy local sites (we are both avid members of the National Trust which is an enriching and educational association). Writing is often a solitary task for us both and requires us to be in a quiet home environment when working on new projects. We therefore enjoy the time at home often required of house sitters when looking after both a property and a house pet or pets.
We would be delighted to care for your home and your beloved pets in your absence.

Other than a few day trips/scenic drives between tasks to explore the local area, or perhaps the odd night out at the theatre we tend to live fairly quietly. We are committed to caring for your home and pets as we would our own. As homeowners ourselves(elsewhere) we are extremely experienced at caring for home and hearth. More importantly, we understand how important it is to treat your house as a home, with care, respect and responsibility.
As a couple we are serious animal lovers and over time have cared for a wide variety of cats (Birman, Domestic Short Hair, Mixed Breed ‘Moggy’ and Chinchilla) and dogs (Cocker Spaniel, Alaskan Malamute, Labrador Cross Breed, Jack Russell, Golden Retriever), including animals with medical needs such as drops, shots, creams and pills. We’ve even looked after a rabbit and fish. We love animals. New breeds - and no breeds - are always welcome. We appreciate how important it is that the care for a pet being provided is stable and reliable. In fact, we are likely to give your 'best friends' a lot of T.L.C. We are clean, tidy and house-proud. Because there are two of us, it is more likely that there will be at least one of us at home most of the time. And of course we are happy and able to look after your garden if required.
Contribution, community, care and connection are important principles for us.
