I am 64 and am a self-employed copyeditor for a major science publisher and I am healthy, quiet and self-reliant by nature. I am considered by all the people I've rented from as the ideal tenant and I make an ideal housesitter too as I love plants and animals and am respectful and responsible with other people's property, and maintain a quiet and healthy lifestyle. Additionally, I have been an on-site apartment manager twice in my life, so taking care of other people’s property is something that I do well.
I have good references from having housat long term for several others through Housecarers while in New Mexico, which I will gladly share if you are interested. I studied literature in my college days and and received a BA. I have lived abroad for the 20 years in Germany working as a translator and copyeditor and later on Salt Spring Island, BC and currently reside in Fairfield Iowa.
