My name is Amy Laurel.
After retiring from owning a successful marketing and pr firm, I have devoted the last fifteen years of my life to being a full-time volunteer within my community. After raising my family while living over 30 in beautiful San Diego, I have been moving around the country supporting my military son and his young family. For the last two years I have been in Hawaii. With the family getting older and moving back to the mainland, I am ready to venture out and do some independent traveling again.
Housesitting is perfectly suited to my personality. Wanderlust has taken me around the country from New England and the mid-eastern seaboard to Iowa, Arizona and beyond. Traveling has long been a passion, and now, one I am ready to more fully indulge. For the length of my life, I have been an animal lover. I have now launched into a new phase of life I am happily indulging my love of travel, photography, and writing. Perhaps my desire to do so will provide a great solution to your housesitting needs. Caring for your home and pets with respect, and love would be my pleasure.

Don't ask me to define myself as a "dog" or "cat" person. Totally impossible! Over the years I have had many dear friends of each furry flavor. Of course with children to teach; birds, snakes, fish and spiders have all brought joy, adventure and the occasional surprising moment to our home.
I am able to provide many references of all types to assure you of my integrity, ability and, of course, great love of all types of furry companions. My volunteer position is one that required I pass extensive background checks. For 15 years I have been a highly awarded disaster response specialist, traveling to help those in need after all manners of disaster.
I believe you will be quite satisfied with trusting me with not only your home, but your four-legged, two-legged and swimming little loved ones, as well. I am looking forward to establishing some regular housesitting clients across the U.S. and the world. My availability is flexible as to duration and time frames.
